Mr. James Wesley Edenfield, age 51, died Tuesday morning, August 30th 2022 at his home in Statesboro.
Wesley was born on May 4th 1971 in Statesboro, GA to Mr. Jack Elton Edenfield and Mrs. Constant Dawson Edenfield. He was raised in Alexandria, VA and attended Hayfield High School, graduating in 1990.
In 1992 he moved back to Bulloch County and started Wesley’s Service Center and later owned and operated Eagle Automotive & Towing. Wesley enjoyed riding motorcycles and drag racing with his son Dawson, he loved time with his friends and family, and was known for having a big heart, a great sense of humor, and always helping others whenever he could. He was preceded in death by his father.
Wesley is survived by his two sons, Dawson Edenfield and Tyler Edenfield, his mother, Connie Edenfield, his fiancé, Penny NeSmith, his grandmother, Mandy Boyette, his brother, Troy Edenfield, his grandchildren Raina Noel Edenfield, Milah Grace Edenfield, and 10 more grandchildren that knew him as Poppy, his nephews, Tevin Edenfield, Jack Luke Edenfield, and Landon Scott, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog “Chevy”.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Emit Grove Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am in the church sanctuary with Pastor Tim Huffingham officiating.
