Dorothy Mae Gordon, age 93 passed from labor to reward while a patient at Fairview Park Hospital, Dublin, Georgia on April 9, 2023 after an extended illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and was last employed by as a cashier for Woolworth Department Stores.
She is survived by her children, Willie Gordon (Cynthia), and Ella Forbes and Joanie Gordon and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Gordon will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Sam's Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Metter, GA with the Reverend Sterling Guess, eulogist and Reverend Earl Herman, presiding. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Statesboro, GA.
The public viewing will be held on Friday evening April 21, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the James R. Barnes Mortuary.
