Deacon Burnice Bernard Perkins

March 12, 1974 - May 19, 2023

Deacon Burnice Bernard Perkins, Jr., age 49 passed into eternal rest on Friday evening May 19, 2023 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center  after a brief illness,  He was a native of Bulloch County and a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School class of 1992. He was last employed with Burger of Statesboro and was a faithful member of New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the board of deacons.

He is survived by his mother, Verneta Perkins, Nevils, GA; two sisters, Tammy Perkins, Nevils, GA and Vickie Perkins, Atlanta, GA; aunts, Glenise Pierce, Register, GA, Mary Harden, Mcdough, GA, Willie Mae (Fred) Isomial, Ft Lauderdale, FL, Ada Williams, Geraldine Robertson, Sherrby Pierce, Annette (Graylon) Denson, Deloris Jackson, Annie Perkins, Vola Mercer and Gertrude Perkins, all of Nevils; great aunts,, Carrie Rolls and  Gladys Whitefield both of Philadelphia, PA; uncles. J.W.  (Gloria)) Perkins, Boynton Beach, FL, Ivory Perkins, James Edward (Erma) Perkins, and Sam Mincey both of Flint, MI  a special brother and best friend, George Perkins, Jr., a special god child Jazzinah Roberson and other god children and other family and friends.

The celebration of life for Deacon Perkins will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church with the pastor Reverend John Pelote, eulogist and Reverend Daniel Foster, III, presiding.  Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be held on Friday from 12 noon till 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
