With summer in full swing, Royal Family Kids (RFK) Camp is urgently seeking volunteers and donations to support foster children ages 6 to 11 during their upcoming camp from July 11–14, 2025.
RFK is in need of more volunteers for their summer camp including "aunts", "uncles", and "night angels". "Aunts" and "uncles" are typically charged with tasks like decorating, setting up slip and slides, leading arts and crafts sessions, restocking supplies before rotations, and helping at the fishing station. "Night Angels" rotate with "cousins"—adult volunteers who are paired 1:1 with campers—once their long shifts are over, giving them some well-deserved time to rest and recharge after a full day spent adventuring with the kids.
If volunteering isn't an option, the camp also happily accepts donations of toys and craft supplies—especially since the kids use up the craft supplies quickly and love picking out goodies from the "swag shop" at the end of their trip!
Volunteers interested in a role as an "aunt," "uncle," "cousin," or to donate can contact Josh Hall at (912)-601-7647. Anyone interested in becoming a night angel can reach out to Lori Pollard at (732)-991-8459.
While the 7th Mile Camp, another faith-based camp for teenage foster children, has already completed for the summer, application for next year's summer volunteer opportunities and donations are still encouraged and appreciated!
