Understanding Autism: Free virtual training program for those who work with children

Anyone who works with children is invited to participate in a free autism awareness training program, a 90-minute-long virtual session that will teach individuals how to recognize the traits of autism as well as strategies for working with autistic children.

Behavioral Pediatrics Resource Center is an organization that offers tailored training sessions for educators and childcare professionals with the hope that individuals leave with a new understanding of how to support students with autism, ADHD and anxiety.

Anyone from VBS staff, Sunday school teachers, camp counselors, scout leaders, coaches and grandparents are all welcome to participate in this free educational opportunity!

There will be two training sessions available: Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 7pm and Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11am. Both sessions will take 90 minutes to complete and will be conducted by a certified behavioral analysis therapist who will allocate time for questions at the end of the sessions.

While the center is located In Statesboro, Georgia, the event will be held virtually on Zoom and has been made possible through a grant from the United Way of Coastal Georgia.
