Southern Chiropractic, a chiropractic and wellness clinic located in Statesboro, Georgia, is entering a new chapter—one marked by partnership, community, expansion, and a continued commitment to both holistic care and patient needs.
After serving the Statesboro community for more than a decade, Southern Chiropractic recently opened a new office in Vidalia, Georgia, and officially became the official chiropractic office for Tormenta FC, a professional soccer team located in Statesboro.
This expansion and new partnership reflects Dr. FlorAnne Cruz's dream and passion. Cruz took over the office in 2022 after working as an associate chiropractor for five years prior under Dr. Amy Kitchens.
"There's a lot of people, I notice, if it's not close by, they will not go see or get the care they need," said Dr. Cruz. "I want to branch out and make chiropractic more available for patients because a lot of people don't realize that we can help without the use of medicine."
Southern Chiropractic's services include spinal adjustments, massage therapy, decompression therapy, soft tissue work, cupping, and shockwave therapy. They also offer electrical stimulation therapy and have hyperbaric oxygen chambers for relaxation and pain management. More services are listed on their website here.
"It's very personal," said Dr. Cruz, emphasizing the importance of understanding that everyone's pain is different and cannot be treated the same way. "No adjustment is ever the same."
Compared to other chiropractic services, their approach blends traditional chiropractic methods with a deeper, whole-body understanding, treating each patient with the same carefulness and analyzing each cause for a visit with the same amount of effort each time. This practice and location emphasizes education, movement, and lifestyle habits and encourages the use of natural medicine before using modern medicine.
For years, Southern Chiropractic has worked with athletes, including Georgia Southern athletes, leading to a recent partnership with Tormenta FC—adding another layer to their sports care portfolio and further reflecting the sheer determination and passion that drives the practice.
The team at Southern Chiropractic has recently grown too with the addition of Dr. Julia Renaud, the newest doctor on staff, joining the practice in spring 2025. Dr. Renaud, a New York native who recently relocated to Georgia to pursue her dream of helping others through chiropractic care, has shown nothing short of devotion for helping others, spreading positivity with each new client she meets.
Together, the team at Southern Chiropractic continues to bring holistic care and connection to the community, one step at a time.
