Southern Manor at Candler Senior Living and Memory Care is proud to announce the success of its recent Alzheimer’s fundraising event, raising a total of $1,439 — exceeding the original goal of $1,000.

The event featured a cheerful lemonade and pastry stand accompanied by the warm fellowship of our Residents. The initiative brought together families, staff, and community members in a heartfelt effort to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association. All proceeds go directly toward research, advocacy, and vital care resources for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity shown by our community,” said T. Blake Nobles,Executive Director of Southern Manor at Candler. “Surpassing our fundraising goal is a true testament to the compassion and commitment of our Residents, their families, and our dedicated staff.”

Jaycee Wells, Administrative Coordinator, shared, “It was so special to see our Residents interacting with the community and taking part in such a meaningful cause. Their joy and pride were contagious.”

Meghan McCullough, Marketing Director, added, “This event showcased the heart of who we are at Southern Manor at Candler — a family that shows up for each other and for a greater purpose. We’re excited to keep that momentum going!”

Ralph Cowart, Owner of Southern Manor at Candler, also expressed his pride in the team’s achievement:

“It fills me with pride to see our team and community come together in such a powerful way. This fundraiser was not only a success in dollars raised, but in the love, joy, and awareness it brought to our Metter Campus and the Southern Manor Group as a whole. I couldn’t be prouder of the leadership, staff, and especially our Residents for the role they played in this important cause.”

This successful event marks only the beginning of Southern Manor at Candler’s fundraising efforts. Donations will continue to be accepted from now through November, and additional events are already in the works. The community is encouraged to stay connected and participate in upcoming opportunities to support the cause.
