SA Recycling Statesboro, one of Georgia’s largest metal recycling company locations, presented a $1,000 check to Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Habitat’s office located at 214 Savannah Ave., Statesboro, GA.
“When I attended the Habitat for Humanity ribbon cutting earlier this year, I heard about their aluminum can collection, Recycle for Good, where they collect aluminum cans from April to October," shares SA Recycling Statesboro General Manager Ethan Coleman. "They have been a customer for years and have brought in everything from refrigerators, washing machines to aluminum cans. Being able to help Kathy raise funds to build homes for the families in need in our community is exactly what SA Recycling stands for.”
“Here at Habitat for Humanity we collect aluminum cans year-round, but we have an opportunity to win a $7,000 grant from Novelis, an industrial aluminum smelting company that collects cans from all over the world," stated Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County General Manager Kathy Jenkins. "Along with the $2,500 for participating, we actively seek partnerships with individuals, organizations and local businesses like SA Recycling. Not only did Ethan present me with a check at a much-needed time during a slow summer, he also drove over, secured the trailer, and hauled off the collected cans.”
