The City of Statesboro’s One Boro Commission will host its annual Violence Prevention Forum on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 4401 Country Club Road, Statesboro, Georgia. This year’s meeting will take the form of a panel discussion focused on fostering partnerships and collaboration in the ongoing effort to build a safer, more vibrant community.
The purpose of the meeting is to share information and collaborate with stakeholders—including residents, service providers, and local leaders—as One Boro continues its work to address all forms of violence and promote a culture of community well-being.
“One Boro is committed to creating a space where every voice is valued in the conversation about community safety,” says Adam Dean, Chair of the One Boro Violence Prevention Subcommittee. “This meeting is an opportunity to listen, learn, and build stronger relationships that can help shape a more just and peaceful Statesboro.”
The panel discussion will feature local experts and practitioners who will share insights on the root causes of violence and offer recommendations for effective prevention strategies. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and contribute to the dialogue.
