Memorial Day service scheduled for Monday at the Averitt Center

Emma Kelly Theater at the Averitt Center for the Arts

The Emma Kelly theater will host the Bulloch County Memorial Day service, coordinated by the American Legion Dexter Post 90, on May 29th. This is where the ceremony is normally held.  They deviated to an outdoor event during COVID.

The ceremony will begin with coffee and donuts at 10:30am. The service will start at 11am and will be followed by hamburgers and hotdogs served at the American Legion Post No. 90, located at 100 Rucker Ln. in Statesboro.

Phil Crowley, Statesboro native and United States Army veteran, will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Crowley is a proud member of the Statesboro Blues Chapter of the U.S. Military Veteran Motorcycle Club, American Legion Post 90, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10825, and Statesboro Moose Lodge 1089.

The program is open to the public, and Grice Connect will live stream the program on our Facebook page. It will also be available in a follow up story on Grice Connect. See below for the complete program.
