REGISTER, GA – Hundreds of Bulloch County residents woke up to no power Thursday morning after an outage struck in the early hours.
According to Excelsior EMC, approximately 845 homes woke up to no electricity when the outage began around 4:11 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
As of 6:30 AM all power has been restored. The affected area was primarily concentrated in the Register vicinity. The outage stretched from Highway 301 South to Highway 46, extending towards the Georgia Southern Golf Course.
The cause of the outage is not yet known at this time.
