Pemrboke-based Peachy Keen Cleaning Co. is teaming up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients across the U.S. and Canada.

Launched in April 2023, Peachy Keen Cleaning Co., is a women-owned and operated small family business.

Owner of Peachy Keen, Heather Moates, believes that a collaboration with Cleaning for a Reason is the perfect opportunity to help cancer patients in need.

“Witnessing my brother Mark battle two different types of cancer over the past 20 years has allowed me to understand the difficult challenges cancer patients face,” said Moates.

“It’s heartbreaking to see them burdened with worries about maintaining their home, especially when a clean and healthy space is crucial for their well-being. That’s why our commitment lies in supporting cancer patients and their families with the gift of cleanliness,” she continued.

Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Peachy Keen provides cleaning services for two cancer patient homes each month for two consecutive months -- all free of charge.

This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan, Liberty, and Chatham Counties.

Cleaning for a Reason partners with more than 1,200 residential cleaners throughout the U.S. and Canada to offer free house cleaning to any household battling cancer.

Since 2006, the nonprofit and its partners have donated more than $17 million in services, helping more than 50,000 cancer patients. For more information, click here.
