The Bulloch County Farm Bureau partnered with the Bulloch County Ag Complex to host its inaugural "Ice Cream and Dairy Celebration" on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 10am-1pm.
The collaborative effort sought to create an unforgettable summer educational experience for the local youth in summer camp. The event was geared towards PreK to 5th Grade summer camp students.
The event was open to local summer campers, which included kids from all over the county. The fun and memorable event promoted education in agriculture at no extra cost to more than 400 campers and their chaperones.
"This is our inaugural event for our 'ice cream and dairy celebration' with the Farm Bureau hosted at the Ag Complex. This year we have a wonderful title sponsor called 'the big cheese', and their name is Johnson Land Management Services. We have so many wonderful sponsors for the event," said Jil Trower, the Office Manager and County Ag Coordinator for Bulloch County Farm Bureau. "We are very excited to host this event at this caliber, away from our office, because it gives us an opportunity to showcase Ag outside of the classroom -- particularly during the summer, when it's most important to continue that educational component to our community kids."
