The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) & the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued guidance & recommendations regarding a pause on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The FDA and CDC are reviewing data involving six reported cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot occurring 6-13 days after vaccination. Other vaccines are still available and encouraged. Jeffrey D. Zients, the White House Covid-19 response coordinator, said Tuesday the pause “will not have a significant impact” on the nation’s vaccination program, and that the administration will still “reach every adult who wants to be vaccinated.”
