The City of Statesboro is accepting applications for appointments to the Statesboro Business Commission. Formed in November 2022, the Statesboro Business Commission consists of nine local business owners appointed by Statesboro’s Mayor and City Council who serve staggered two-year terms.

The purpose of the Statesboro Business Commission is to prepare studies and make recommendations to the City Council on policy matters and procedures that affect business opportunities and operations within the city.

Interested applicants must be authorized representatives of an entity holding an occupational tax certificate with the City of Statesboro. Appointments to the commission are for two-year terms. The deadline to apply is January 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
