The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) recently updated their COVID-19 cleaning & disinfecting protocols. The virus that causes COVID-19 can land on surfaces. It’s possible for people to become infected if they touch those surfaces and then touch their nose, mouth, or eyes. While the risk is lowered with this method of transmission, the most reliable way to prevent transmission of COVID is to regularly wash hands or use hand sanitizer. When no people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 are known to have been in a space, cleaning once a day is usually enough but if a person who is sick or COVID positive has been in a space, that area should be cleaned AND disinfected. Always take precautions, wash your hands & get vaccinated!!
