Annual Energy Assistance program begins Dec. 1, 2023

Beginning Dec. 1, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., households in which all adult members are 65-or-older or all adult members are medically homebound (unable to leave the home except for medical appointments, etc.) may apply for a one-time Energy Assistance payment.

All other low-income households may apply beginning Jan. 2, 2024, if funds are available.

Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility for this program is determined by the income of all adults living in the household (see chart below).

Two people: $38,856 
Three people: $47,999
Four people: $57,142
Five people: $66,284 
Six people: $75,427 
Seven people: $77,141 
Eight people: $78,855 

Required Documentation

  1. Social Security Verification for everyone living in the home;
  2. Photo ID for the applicant;
  3. Verification of all household income for the past 30 days;
  4. Most recent home heating and electric bill.

If your household is in crisis, please contact the Action Pact Bulloch County Service Center at (912) 489-1604 to see if you qualify for an immediate appointment. No crisis appointments can be made through the automated telephone or online systems.
