On Monday, April 8, 2024 around 5 PM parts of Johnson Street in the City of Statesboro were closed by a heavy police presence. A tip lead law enforcement to an address on Johnson Street which lead to 9 being arrested with charges that include drug trafficking and weapons violations.
The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office Crime Suppression Team Investigators were advised by the GBI that Rakeil Lanier had active warrants through their agency for trafficking methamphetamine and other charges.
Information provided to them indicated that Lanier may have been located at 223 Johnson Street in Statesboro. Bulloch County Sheriff's Crime Suppression Team Investigators along with Bulloch County Sheriff's K-9 units responded to Johnson Street in attempt to locate Lanier.
Upon arrival, Bulloch County Sheriff's K-9 made contact with numerous, armed males in the back yard of the residence. As Investigators approached the front of the residence, numerous armed males attempt to flee out of the front door. All were detained and numerous loaded firearms were recovered along with cocaine, pills and 15 pounds of marijuana.
Multiple agencies responded to assist with the arrests.
The following individuals were arrested:
Isaiah Stovall was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Felonies (3Counts)
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
- Possession of a firearm by a underage person (3 counts)
Fayeon Dunning was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Felonies (4 counts)
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribure
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
- Possession of a firearm by an underage person (4 counts)
Rodriggas Scott was charged with the following offenses:
- Obstruction
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of firearm by a convicted felon (4 counts)
- Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (2 counts)
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (4 counts)
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
- Possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park
Tyrik Holly was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (4 counts)
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug related object
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
Demarco Eason was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (3 counts)
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a drug related object
- Probation Violation (Robbery)
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (3 counts)
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
Damarien Hamilton was charged with the following offenses:
- Theft by receiving firearm
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (4 counts)
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
Rakeil Lanier was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking marijauana
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Theft by receiving stolen property
- Obstuction
- Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (4 counts)
- Possession of tools for the commission of a crime
- Trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
Jermel Lanier was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Marijauna
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (3 counts)
- Possession of a schedule II with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
Juvenile Male was charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking Marijauana
- Theft by receiving stolen firearm
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (3 counts)
- Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a drug related object
- Possession of a firearm by an underage person (3 counts)
- Possession of a schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Oxycodone)
