Georgia Southern University has been working hard to vaccinate faculty, staff & students since they received their first doses back in February. Since they started their vaccine program, Georgia Southern has been able to provide hundreds with vaccinations. Today, on the Savannah Campus, Georgia Southern hosted one of their largest PODs (Point of Dispensing) yet. On Friday (4/2) they will do the same thing on the Statesboro Campus at Paulson Stadium. The event will start at 8:30 am & end at 4:30 pm or until all doses are administered. Friday's vaccination POD is for Georgia Southern faculty, staff & students only. Georgia Southern is not currently administering the vaccine to the general public. If you are not a GS faculty/staff member or student & are interested in getting the COVID vaccine, a full list of Bulloch County providers can be found in the Grice Connect Daily COVID Report. Follow CDC guidelines & get vaccinated!
The Department of Public Health (DPH) released a statement March 25th that the vaccine dashboard is currently being upgraded to give a "more complete picture of COVID Vaccination administered in Georgia." They hope to have the dashboard running smoothly by the end of next week (4/2). As of now, they are only reporting cumulative statistics for the state of Georgia. That information can be found below.
