Sallie Zetterower Elementary School’s Misty Anderson has received national recognition from Otus, a leading k-12 assessment, data, and insights company.
Anderson, a school improvement specialist for mathematics, at Sallie Zetterower, was awarded the Gold-level Rookie of the Year Award. Otus will also be making a donation to the school on her behalf.

According to Otus, this award is given to a product user who has “demonstrated enthusiasm and a data-driven mindset, quickly becoming a confident and impactful user.” Anderson was one of two winners in the category with Jeana Craft, an information technology coordinator from Illinois winning the Silver-level of the award.

“Misty has been recognized for the incredible work she’s done integrating Otus into the professional learning community (PLC) process at SZES this year,” said Millie Boykin, a school improvement director for Bulloch County Schools. “I’m so proud of her efforts and the impact it’s had on the school.”

A resource used districtwide by Bulloch County Schools, Otus combines data, assessment, progress monitoring, and grading to maximize student performance and save educators’ time. Otus hosted its Excellence Awards this month to celebrate outstanding educators and school districts. They presented 10 awards in five five categories based on the educators’ impact on student learning and growth through innovation, engagement, and data-driven practices. More than 200 nominations were submitted from across the United States. Two winners were selected in each of the following five categories: Impact, Data Driver, Professional Development Powerhouse, Everyday Advocate, and Rookie of the Year.

“The Otus Excellence Awards are all about honoring the educators who are making a real difference for students,” said Chris Hull, Otus President and Co-Founder. “These winners exemplify what is possible when passion meets purpose—using data not just to inform, but to inspire. We are proud to support their work, celebrate their impact, and continue building a community of educators who are committed to making a difference together.”
