Eagles Corner Shopping Center has been the site of multiple new developments in the past year after Publix Supermarket opened its doors just over a year ago. 2024 will be yet another period of expansion in the plaza with the construction of a new Starbucks and Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders, and the recent announcement that an Eggs Up Grill will be opening right between them this spring.
Franchise partners Ashley and Nate Pennington are Statesboro locals and Georgia Southern Alums. With the sentiment of community at the core of the Eggs Up Grill Franchise, the pair are a fitting duo with Mrs. Pennington being a former Bulloch County special educator of 10 years, and Mr. Pennington currently holding the position of principal at Langston Chapel Elementary.
“When we found Eggs Up Grill, God opened the door for this to be my new career and l am very excited to serve our neighbors in a place where they can become regulars and enjoy the same type of food that you would cook in your own kitchen,“ said Mrs. Pennington who will operate the store.
The restaurant will be able to accommodate 120 guests indoors and an additional 28 on the porch, serving its full menu seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers can expect a “light, bright, and cheery atmosphere,” with the dine-in experience, or they can take advantage of the online ordering, takeout, delivery and catering options that will be available.
Their menu features classic breakfast and lunch dishes such as made-to-order omelets, biscuits and gravy, homefries, burgers, melts and muffins, plus signature items including the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices.
There are currently 72 Eggs Up Grill restaurants open across eight states, with nearly 50 more locations under construction or soon to be. With more than 25 years of operations and growth, the franchise that started in Pawleys Island, S.C. will be bringing its friendly and affordable service to Statesboro very soon.
