Closing a Chick-fil-A, other than on Sunday, creates heart palpations for the chicken loving restaurant faithful followers in Statesboro. It is time now to get your Chick-fil-A fix as they prepare to close the local restaurant for a few weeks for renovations.
Of course, for those of you who just can't live without Chick-fil-A a few weeks, can head out to the Russell Union on the GS campus.
According to David Boykin, Operator of the the Statesboro Chick-fil-A they will be closing the restaurant temporarily on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 3:00 pm for renovations. They are planning for a two week closure.
The renovations will include the installation of a drive through door and updates to the front counter where you place your order.
The open drive through door has become a standard in new Chick-fil-A restaurants. This helps improve drive through efficiency and provide better customer service.
In March of 2019 they closed the Statesboro restaurant for a total rebuild. During this rebuild they completely demolished the original restaurant and built a completely new restaurant. The new Chick-fil-A reopened four months later.
They also have began construction of the third Chick-fil-A at the corner of Veteran's Memorial Parkway and Akins Boulevard/Tormenta Way.
Their second Chick-fil-A is located inside the Russell Union on the GS campus.
You can keep up with the progress on Chick-fil-A's Statesboro Facebook page.
Of course, Grice Connect will update you as soon as we have a confirmed reopening date as well.
