Closing a Chick-fil-A, other than on Sunday, creates heart palpitations for the CFA faithful in Statesboro, and the Northside Drive location of the popular restaurant has been closed for renovations since January 18.
But the wait is over! David Boykin, Operator of the the Statesboro Chick-fil-A, confirmed to Grice Connect that the Northside Drive Chick-fil-A will reopen at 6am on Friday, February 2, 2024, with normal business hours.
The renovations included the installation of a drive thru door and updates to the front counter where you place your order. The open style of the drive thru door has become a standard in new Chick-fil-A restaurants. This helps improve efficiency and allows team members to provide better customer service.
In March of 2019, they closed the Statesboro restaurant for a total rebuild. During this rebuild, they completely demolished the original restaurant and built a completely new one. The new Chick-fil-A reopened four months later.
Construction has also begun on the third local Chick-fil-A at the corner of Veteran's Memorial Parkway and Akins Boulevard/Tormenta Way and is moving along at a rapid pace.
Be cautious of traffic on Northside Drive and in the parking lot as the reopening takes place and chicken fans flock!
